You can see how by using your range of voices (bass, tones, slaps, mutes, etc) you can be creative in how you use this pattern. Note, one time varations are an interesting way to be expressive in the moment. Repetition of the variation creates a groove that enables others to interact with your ideas and weave something polyrhythmic.
